Jumsi Siram

A renowned Hindi Literatures and Novels writer Shri. Jumsi Siram was born in March 23, 1963 at Tadin Village, West Siang, Arunachal Pradesh. He is a 'Hindi Literature and novels writer' and richly awarded and appreciated especially in Arunachal Pradesh. He did his early education at Tadin Government School, Tadin and did his secondary education at Kombo Middle Secondary School and Govt. Higher Secondary School, Aalo. He discontinued his education after he had passed ninth standard as family situation compel him to cease further study.

He got married to Mrs Babi Lollen Siram and has two sons Viz. 1. Mr. Hili Paul Siram and Mr. Hiyi Joseph Siram and has three daughters Miss. Hiyir Siram, Miss. Hirik Siram and Miss Shila Siram.

There is a turning point in Jumsi's career. He met Dr. Raman Shandilya (Hindi Teacher and good writer) from Bihar. His Teacher used to encourage him to be a writer. Jumsi was so impressed with him and has been taking a courages to start his careers of writing.

He has been writing novels,booklets and journals since 1983. For a mile history in his career, his first ever book '

1. 'AYI- ALUK(A love story)was first published thousand copies in the year 1992. His first booklets and novels was published in various newspaper Viz. UTTAR BIHAR(Patna), Adivasi(Ranchi), Nava Bihar (Patna), Kosha (Patna), Arun Awaz (Itanagar, Madhuri(Bombay), Purvanchal Prahari(Guwahaty) and Yomgo Calling, Aalo.

2. In September 10,2001, he published for his second book ' Shila KaRehasaya' (regarding the Indo-Chinese border) and he was awarded ' The Hindi Literature Award' by Arun Nagri Sangsthan, Itanagar. This is the first ever 'award' conferred to him in the field of Hindi Literature works.

3. 'Meri Awaz Suno' [a folk-lore love story) was written by him (Jumsi) in the year 2003 . This book had been widely appreciated by women. In September 14,2003, on the eve of Hindi Divas; he was conferred 'Tadang Tang Rashtriyo Bahasa Award' (TadarTang National Award) by Arunachal Hindi Samiti and was declared him that he is the first Hindi Writer of Arunachal Pradesh.

4. His fourth book ' Jayi Bone' ( Folk tail Love Story) was published in the year 2003 and sold out morethan thousand copies. His literature work has been quite simple and easy and widely accepted in all over India.

5. In the year 2007, he again published 'Galo Lok Jiban Ebom Sangskriti' (Galo folk-life and culture)and highly awarded to him by Galo Welfare Society in presence of Shri Tabom Bam[I.A.S],Chief Secretary of Arunachal Pradesh at Aalo, West Siang.

He had started his career in writing since 1983. He is an ordinary man but the inborn natural knowledge of him is great. He has authored several books including 'Letters from Todak Basar (1962-1983, along with Shri Adv. Kenbom Bagra.

His latest book on publish (as of 26 December, 2012) " Swotontraita Senani Matmur Jamoh" regarding the Anglo-Abors War(1911-1912) , will be release soon within a month or two. While writing about Jumsi and his career, I have learnt," Qualifation is not a key to success but quality and hardwork". I have not gone through in his personal trials and hardship faces by him. I do hope, he also rise-up through the ups-and-downs of life. A personal discussion with Albert Liankhankhup Sektak and his lovely Mrs Irik Lollen Sektak on December 26,2012 at his residence at Tadin, he expressed his desire to write various field of Biography, Corruption, Education in the near future.
