Chronology of Sektak | Liankhankhup Sektak

Pu Zo (the commön ancestor of all the Chin-Kuki-Mizo-Zomi-Hmar-Laimi-Laizo-Mara- Khulmi- Komrem- Halam etc) beget Kipmang, Kipmang beget Nawphut, Nawphut beget Nawsung, Nawsung beget Songthu, Songthu beget Sungmang and Sungmang beget Pu Zahong. Zahong beget three söns Sektak, Tohin and Suantak. [1]

Our ancestral were living in CIIMNUAI and some of his descendents were migrated to CIIMTUNG in search of better cultivation and living which the historian term as Siyin or Sizang.Si means "salt" and Zang means "plane area" which indicates our ancestror who lived at the northern plane of Salt Spring. The later generations and offspring who continued to live on, in the same location, spontaneously adopted“Sizang”as their ethnic identity. Sektak is believe to be the eldest sön of Pu .Zahong and Vaiphei is the son of Suantak or Thuantak. The Siahtak , Sehtha and Siahliap are coin by neighbours which refer their proginator as "Sektak". The Suantak is proginetor of Vaiphei and other brothers. [2]
The Vaiphei left Khawvaiphei and found Khawzim where they live peacefully untill the Pawis and Sukte imposed war with them. Thereafter, they scatter in Mizoram, Manipur and other states for safety and better living. [3]

Zomi or Zo is a collective name and Sektak, Siahliap, Siahliak, Siahtak are the descendents of Pu. Zo who was living in Garden of Eden (Ciimnuai) [4]

In Suante's blog, it described more details about the descendents of Pu. Zo follows , " Pu. Zo beget two sons Kipmang and Chinhil, Kipmang beget Nawhphut and Lemang, Nawhphut beget three sons Nawhsong, Phuhsong and Suankap, Nawhsong beget Songthu and Ngaihte, Songthu beget Sungmang and Zakhai, Sungmang beget Songkip and Tohin, Songkip beget three sons Zahong, Ngawngtaw and Songza, Zahong beget three sons Neihthang, Sektak and Suantak. Neihthang beget Thango, Thango beget Daitawng, Daitawng beget Neihlut and Suankhup, Neihlut beget three sons Genzo,Baite and Neihzo, Genzo beget Khupmu , Suante and Henkhai... [5]
The statemaster encyclopedia stated that Tohin as middle son whearas Sektak is the eldest brother but Suante's blog mentioned Tohin as Sungmang son, Neihthang comes the eldest of Pu. Zahong whearas Sektak is the eldest son of Pu. Zahong.

The forefathers of Pu. Zo(Tibeto-Burman-Indo tribes) were believed to lived in near the river of Tao [6], northern Kansukhum, Lanchou believed to be present day of China around 2000 B.C. [7] But historian suggested that the forefathers of the Zo decendents were lived in the valley near Huang Ho river in China during the ruled of King Qin Shi Huang (221-206 B.C) . The History of Great Wall of China Wikipedia mention, " The walls were built of rammed earth, constructed using forced labour".. [8] According to tradition, the Chinese King Qin Shi Huang force the ZO ancestors to built great Wall of China without giving a single penny(force labour). Unable to bear those burdens, they fled China in the wee hours of Morning and hide in the Cave of thick forest. [9] Therefore, the North-East encyclopedia and various researchers concluded that the Tibeto-Burman-Indo tribes are originated from the CAVE [10] The Zomis' clan Paite [11] called the cave as "KHUK" , Kuki called "KHUL" and the Hmar called "SINLUNG that has same meaning "Cave". [12] The journeyed between Cave to Tibet then Ciimnuai is almost untraceable as there is no written Chronology and whether some migrated to Mongolia or the theory of Manmasi tribe of Israel. It is written , " They left the Cave in search of greener pasture... while another describes it as oppressive ruler. [13] Probabely after hiding in the deep jungle in fear of Chinese soldiers, they reach Tibet and took a shelter in a place called "Kham". Luaichinthang stated " A Chinese ruler forced their ancestors to build a great, big wall and unable to bear the hard labors any longer, they ran away from it in the wee hours morning." [14]
According to Rev S.T Hau Go, Zo descendents are known in various name- 'Yo' in Thado area, Laizo in Falam area, Zomi in Tedim area, Mizo in Lushai area, Zotung, Zophei, Zokhua in Hakas area, Bawm in Chittagong hill tracts, Yaw in Gangaw area, Jo or Cho in Mindat, Khomi in Paletwa, A-sho in Prome.... The Bengali term them Kuki, the Burmans called them Chin, and the Indian called them Lushai but Zomi is the most widely used National name. It is believed that the Zote [Zo/ Zomi] have descended from Mongolia to China and to Tibet and to the present day Burma. They are Zo not because they live in the highlands or the hills , but all Zo and call themselves Zo because they are the descendents of the great ancestor , "Zo" .[15]

The history of Migration from China to Cave, Cave to Tibet, Tibet to Burma is uncertainty as there were no record of historical books. But some modern historian suggested that the forefathers of the Zomi's were living in Kansukuam, Lanchou, China around 2000 B.C. [Yet to complete]

Why Christian should not celebrate Solung Gidi?

By ABLK

"Ye shall have no other gods before me (v3)... nor bowdown or serve them(v5)..(1)

Solung festival is one of the main religious feestival of Adis community and the festival is primarily connected with Agricuture activity. One of the goddess 'KINE-NANE' told to the people to make a yearly sacrifice with Mithun and Pig in the sacrifice name call ' SOLUNG'. It is also believe that Kine-Nane is the founder of Paddy, according to Adi's tradition. Traditionally they concluded that by sacrificing Mithun and Pig, their field would be protect and bless by goddess. (2) If the goddess Kine - Nane and god Doying-Bote are pleased and satisfied with their sacrifices, the former will appear in the form of clouds and rains that will produce great fertily soil.

Our God, who created the universe and every animals according to its kind, and all human being and all things in this world (3) has commanded us not to have other gods, worship nor sacrifice to them. (4). Christian cant believes nor made sacrifice in the name of Solung to Doying Bote(Adi's believe as god) and Kine-Nane (goddess) in connection with harvest. The Adis legendary narrated that the plant of paddy originated from the life juice of Yidum Bote (Son of the god of knowledge) Because, their Lord didnt permit them as they are chosen to be Holy (5).

Kine- Nane(who was believe to be goddess) required Mithun and Pig sacrifice for blessings, but the God of Christian desire MERCY(steadfast love) rather than sacrifice (6). They believe Kine-Nane would bless their field, plantations, jobs, rain and fertile soil to produce more grains. But God had spoken to Haggai that climate, paddy, money, richness, drought in his hand. (7) When people are disobedience and far away from him, he brought famine, drought to them to let them know that He is everything.

Therefore, Solung is not cultural celebration rathan belief. Culture loss is identity lost but religion lost is not identity lost. Religion is belief and culture is our identity.

Solung is celebrated in the month of August/ September in connection with harvest. For Christians, Feast of the Harvest or Agricultural activity celebration was practice in the Old Testment in the month of Sivan (May/June) (8). But some Churches in Nagaland, Mizoram and Manipur are celebrating harvest/first fruit on August/ Septembert and November respectively. Especially the christians in East, Upper and West Siang can adopt festival of Harvest in March/April or August/September as they celebrated traditionally. Christian doesnt mean that we should forsake our culture, dress, dance instead we should more focus and preserve our culture which reveals our identity.

Apong is made of yeast which is forbidden by Christian God and all types of intoxication(Wine) .(9) On the day of celebration, any juice shall be served to Christian in place of Apong.

Miri ( religious leader or priest) sings Solung Abung and relate stories of the origin of man, animals , plants etc throughout Solung Gidi. In christian term Miri can be Priest, Pastor, Evangelist, Choir Master who deliver the same as Miris' did in the occassion. While sing and dance, certain words like Doying Bote, Kine-Nane, Donyi-Polo (in place of god can be change into God, Jehovah, Jesus etc as the song composed.

On Solung Gidi dogin, Doreph Long, Binnayard Binam, Yaktor of Ekoph, Oinyard, Irni, Yegling, Christian members also has to do in the name of God , Jesus etc to prosper paddy as Donyi-Polo followers did saperately. Inviting one another for party and dance but respecting their religious belief. Cultural modification is the need of hour to contain and protect one's own culture which any religions of our broken brothers and Sisters can too involved.

Religion and belief shall not gain gap among family, villages, tribes and community. Society should not be driven by belief but everyone shall get freedom to choose any religiön. Society shall protect and deliver justice to everyone. Thus peace and prosperity, love and brotherhood will dwell among us .

Biography of Tanik Kopak

Tanik Kopak was born and grew-up in Komsing Kumku, East Siang , Arunachal Pradesh in 1962. His father Tapang Kopak was an orthodox Donyi-Polo greatly influenced of Hindus cultures and religion. The 1962 'Indo Chinese War' had the negative impact on ecomic, public health, civil supplies and daily needs especially Tanik's family in particular. Later he met an accident caused him paralysed the then he became Christian ever since.

1. Family Background:
Tarak beget Tanseng (who was said to be resided in Riew), Tanseng begat Tamut, Tamut begat Tasi, Tasi begat Taki, Taki begat Takak, Takak begat Tapang and Tapang begat Tanik Kopak.

Tanik got married Oting Kopak and has four daughters Yanga, Yatok, Yakiam, Bonne and two sons Kalom and Gandhi. Tapang Kopak recieved a copy of free huge Holy Bible while at Shillong between 1971-72 that he and his families used to often read. Tanik quoted as saying ," I was believing and trust Christian even before I was willingly became a Christian".

2. Early education and Memorable Days:
Tanik was attending Komsing L.P School later upgraded Middle School where P.K Roy Kormokar Dibrugarh served as Headmaster and Mr. K. Tambi Darai Tamil Nadu served as Teacher respectively. He helped his teachers and stayed with them there he learned " Communicative English" practically with them. I was surprised when I first met him and he was communicating with me in English such an elder man literally unbelievable. He caught 200 fiercy animals which endangers for human being. He is also one of the person who constructed famous Komsing Hanging bridge over Siang River which was washed away by man made Chinese flood around 2000 A.D.

3. Hinduism and Christianism in context with Arunachal Pradesh.
Hindus religious and cultures had been greatly influenced across the state and thousands of Hindus Missionary and mission came to exist there then. After Arunachal Pradesg became the 24th state of the Union of India on February 20, 1987, The Hindus Mission [ Arunachal Vikas Parishad, R.K Missions, V.K.V and several hindu's mission] accelerated inorder to attract and win people of Arunachal Pradesh for Hinduism. Mother Teressa, a Calcutta based Roman catholic nun was forcefully restricted to entry Arunachal Pradesh at Banderwa gate by a group of protesters influenced by Hindus Religious leaders. Inorder to prevent christianity in Arunachal Pradesh, the Hindus influenced and pass FREEDOM OF RELIGIOUS BILL in 1987, the then christians were humiliated, torch, persecuted, burnt downed their churches and homes and even jailed by the authorities. Untill the establishment of DONYI-POLO YELAM KEBANG by Golgi Bote Talom Rukbom on the 31st December in 1986, no ganging of Donyi-Polo established even they consider as their ancestral religion. The Adi Baptist Church in Komsing which was said to established in 1978 or before faced lot of trial and hardship. Initially, the ministers of God who visited Baptist Church in Komsing were torched by the mob and the local church members hid them in the forest in fear of life. Amazingly, the spirit of God is moving in this village and now almost 50% becomes Christian.

4. An accident made him become Christian.
It was December 23, 2008 14:30pm which changed Tani's life once for all. He and his friend Tapang Panor went to the forest in search of cane for repairing house. According to him, he was carrying ten roll of cane (6-8 pieces per roll) with an estimated 50/60 kilograms and met an accident in the slope and wet forest. He slipped his left leg in the narrow road and rolled with a cane like a wheel of chair finally landed in the bed of huge wood. He could neither moved nor utter a single word to shout for help. His friend was not aware of his friend accident which he later found him in the spot where he landed. " He found me after I had attemp to shout thirty times", Tanik added. Tapang could carry upto near Komsing Karo Village where Tanik's father-in-law is residing. With the helped of Karo's residents, he could managed to reach his inlaw's home. Tanik says ," If Tapang Panor had not carried me on that day, Komsing Forest would have been my burial place".

After he was given first aid treatment, he was sent to consult doctor at Pangin. He was refered to Pasighat and they refered again to Dibrugarh for further treatment. After all test and formalities done, he was admitted in ICU and requested to do operation in Guwahati. He was sent back to Pasighat as his families couldnot afford for his operation. On November 04, 2014 while he was interacted with me he lamented ," If I could have sufficient money and did the operation in time, I may have been a normal man as you".

5.Ritual Sacrifice.
Tanik was in Pasighat for a while in hope that traditional ritual sacrifice could heal him. Tapang Kopak arranged a Donyi- Polo priest and performed ritual sacrifices twice for him; that too ineffective. The local priest surrendered him.

6. A layman Prayers.
Tanik life has been risk and his father couldnot see his son still no movements even after basic medication. Tapang Kopak approached a layman hail from Riew Village who is now inhabited in Pasighat. A layman of God Mr. Tagir Tapak prayed to God and did massage for him a week long. After a weekend, he requested him to walk-out and do exercise as he could. May be due to Tagir's massage, he could move slowly and take food himself. He was yet again sent back to his current hometown Pangin to spent for the rest of his life.

One fine day while basking sun, he met a missionary Mr. Lalmalsawma and his wifd Puii and invited to pray for him there he had narrated ins and outs of his woe. The missionaries continually and periodically prayed and massage in his residence. He felt better and comfort through their cordial and concern. They invited him to attend church whearas he refused saying ," I could neither move nor walk". They promised , "God will carry you" come to church tomorrow. Early in the next morning, the couple came to him with the help of a stick, he attended nearby church. The congregation prayed for him and welcome amazingly hope after hope for him. Later he took baptized and becomes christian he and his families till today. " If there is no christian who cares for me even today, I might not live anymore", he lamented.

Life, On the way to Hospital

~by Liankhankhup Sektak

A repursive response during depress ' No room for you' I feel it is a terror and the horror which I have nothing to do it.

As I have stated in previous article , " April month and its important for me" , April month has been one of the saddest and happiest month as many events happened on this month as far as my family concern.

Fifteenth of April two thousand fourteenth, I , My Mrs and two of our Kins went to Pasighat for delivery and hoped to accomodate in either two of her relatives. We were refused to accomodate whearas spacious if they wish to do so. " Room is too small to accomodate you" answered the relatives. I was like a thunder strucked and no immediate words to say next to who resided nearby hospital. Then we moved next to relatives home which is 4/5 kms distance away from hospital. There the same responsed we got and we were stunned and how to move next. We share our desired to a relative to admit without emergency, she said that it would not be possible but we had no option but persuade doctor to admit us. She tried it twice and thrice but seem to be impossible. I told my Mrs. to dress in most smart as she could and I with my only Coat. It was holiday said by our relative as Hanuman Jayanti, we told them as we will have an evening walk. I had greeted casualty doctor politely and narrated our condition than the nurse admitted us and a bit relieve for a night if not we would have slept in the street.

Ön the next day the Ultra-sound doctor told an estimate time May 17 morethan one months beyond our expectation. The doctor told to the nurse they can be discharge but Nurse pity us and not informed to us which I came to know on the next day after I informed them a rest is needed .

We informed the church members and friends the news and they were temporarily arranged a rent in Yebgo at Pasighat near ABU Central Church . The home is belongs to Mr. Tapir Dai and Mrs. Yagup Dai who is UDC in Education Department. A final year B.A and Nurse Miss. Okiam Taki , who resided there inn consent to use all her belonging freely including a rent free. We thank her generouse and kind understanding to us. A relative of us said house small as exam going on but a non relative stayed in others home to accomodate us. This is really God's help that comes in time of real need.

A tribute to my Father

Death Anniversary
~~ By
Liankhankhup Sektak

I had not realized " how happy and nice to live with my FATHER" untill 15th April 2012 when my father abode for his heavenly home. I didnt see face to face with him since 2004 till his last journeyed as I left my families for further studies in South India. I admit my father's fade as " lack of proper treatment" as I and my brothers were incapable to provide all financial expenses during
his treatment that led him gone home forever. Ask whether all the six sons and one daughter were contribute and tried to save him while he was on Incencive care? I and my Mrs. could contribute halves of Ten Thousand which served almost no purpose as the required expenses were too high! He was in comma morethan two months and his sicknesses MUTE and prevent him from any conversation. Mystery behind how sudden sickness attacked him that led untimely death?.

Some witnesses told me "the Gap" between rich and poor during our adversary. In my opinion, I must thank to those who spent their selfless service to us as a whole .

My father was such a great hunter and nobody could compete in Agriculture and hunting sectors. His greatest personality was "Silent" in nature. I dont forget the life of my father's family at Sinzang Village and Tonglon. He support my education probabely begging food from neighbour villages. He fed us with wild Yam, Topiaka, Maize , Atta and " Maite Chìm" so now I am in position to study Master of Arts (M.A) as of 2014. Thankyou daddy and Mummy, it is because of (yours') dad hardwork and mom prayers.

Everyone knows that everyday is not Sunday as I. Rich may godown and poor may come-up. I believe, A silent observer Jesus is still alive today.
I will not give-up and I'l persue my parents' dream and my sons and daughters will accomplish my dream.

I have a living Jesus in me. He'll make away for me and my family not to be always amuse or down trodden by them.

Childhood Memoirs | by Liankhankhup Sektak

Much of the memorable events of my childhood were absent as their were no inscription. But I could tell the major events today that happened in governing my family before I was formed from womb which my mother told me when I was nine or Ten. My mom, who narrated those events and incidents still alive as of writing this article but my father was no more...

My parent were once lived in Sinzang Village next to Pamzal near Kaihlam. Most of my brothers and Sister were borne here and lived below poverty line. As my parent were struggled with daily bread, no son nor daughter were given education. Most probabely, education was not valued nor esteemed by the people as a whole. My father was a load carrier on demand as he could carried morethan his weight. My families were survived there by Maize, pumkin, yam, sweet potatoes and sometime rice and Maize flour.

One fine day, there were no stocked of food in my family. All my brothers were still young, my mother was waiting my father who went to the forest in hope to get wild YAM. He didnt returned even in the early hours of evening. My mom was in tense and helpless as all my brothers and sister were cried in Hungry. My mom was helpless and couldnt see the hungry children and went outside the village wait for my father to come back from the forest. A man carrying many things was approaching her and she thought that he was my dad and scolded him while distance, " Children were crying in hungry, why didnt you returned early". Unfortunately, that man was not my father and both of them laugh at each other.

Around 1970s at the same village, one of my brother Mr. Paubawi was severely sick and as a child he couldnt eat wild Yam. My mom went to the neighbours and relatives in search of rice, nobody were willing to share rice to my pity mam who worn savy dress with flying hair. With painful tears, she bade farewel to her lovely son Late Mr. Paubawi as he died of hunger.

In 1980s, in search of better living, my families were migrated to Tonglon, 30 kms far from Lamka. Chief of Tonglon Pu. Pumzakham, brother of Pu. Gouchinkhup was such a good man who had guide, care and helped my family atleast to live in a normal living. Some of my brothers were grown-up here to assist them that my mam described as a bit "RELAX". Even in Tonglon, the entire village were starved and famine hit the entire community as government isolated them.

My grandfather Late Mr. Zamgou and his wife Late Mrs. Songkhoniang had passed away before I could recognized their images. On July 27, 1983, God allowed me see the light of this world then my brother Max.

" You were such a handsome baby but now you had lost your childhood handsome", said my mother after completion of my degree. I did enjoy my early childhood and went to school without pen (khekol) with no shoe. My leg was as black as coal, remarked my early School Teacher Late Mr. Kamkhanthang Tonsing, Mr. Shingkhum and Mrs. Niangkhanngai.

A photo of me and my brother max said to be photographed in 1989 was the only photo which I could preserve till today. A word said by me to my mam before she went to field , "NU, NALOU KUANCHIANG IN, THENGTHE HONPUAK AW" and she brought many for me. "Word cant describe how happy I was", as my heart content with a cheap demand. I cooked food, mopped home, carrying water, collecting firewood and traditional grinding rice were my basic daily routine. I was interest and talented in study as far as I knew. But, I was a boy who didnt believe whether right or wrong instructed by other than my Teachers". When I studied fourth Standard at J.B School, Tonglon, I carried my eldest brother daughter Chinglunkim in the classroom. The teacher told me to sit and write my lessons but she prevent me from sitting. The teacher punished me for bringing baby in the classroom and she afraid his shouting and cried. Having refused permission to go out as the child being cried , I had no option and cried with my daughter.

It was shame in front of other without wearing any pen in the school and I had requested my brothers to get pen for school. He answered, " I did not wear any shirt nor pen after crossing ten years", . If I am a good artist, I would have drawn my childhood photo and have a good laugh today".
I was taught Bible stories by my parent, prayers, sent to Sunday School, sent to attend Children Conference which we describe in own vernacular "Tonglon Täng Naupang Khawmpi", Crusade all those laid my future foundation.

I didnt remember the exact date and time but there was a weeklong crusade in my school especially for Children. My friends were cried out as the Evangelist Mr. Thawnkhansuan cheered us to cried before the Lord and Confess Sins. I did confess my sins before the Lord but there was no tears for me while being pretended to be cry. I applied saliva in my eyes as he was closely looking at us whether we were crying or praying. In the night, the Pastor Late Mr. Thualkhothang gave us baptism and declared we were born again". Later my mind was disturbed with "what really born again is?" . On october 30, 1999, Mrs. Hauniang FMPB detailed out all the works and love of Jesus to us and there I personally recieving Jesus my Lord and Savior.

Word cant describe how a pleasant moment the early childhood was, sometimes I wish if I could recall those memories. But it will never come again in my life. Today I learnt from the Lord how to be happy as I am.

Cultures and Religions in context with Arunachal Pradesh

~By Liankhankhup Sektak

People of Arunachal Pradesh has been blindly once influenced with Hindu Culture, religion, dress, language and all Hindus' festival. Eventhough Christianity exist in the beginning of 19 CE, there was slow in progress untill 21st CE. First Hinduism was cultivated and now basically Christianity.

I have seen people of Arunachal Pradesh are in dilema at this juncture, whether to follow Hinduism or Christianism. Society has been in agony and devided due to religion. In fact, neither Hinduism nor Christianism was their religion, but Donyi- Poloism.

There has been a war of religion that the christian has to bear it a momentum. Everyone knew Freedom of Religion Act which was passed and adopted in 1987 was particularly targeting christianism in Arunachal Pradesh. Since then thousands of Hindus Mission and missionaries has been working within Arunachal Pradesh. Many schools like R.K Mission School, Kendria Vidhyala, K.G. Girls School and many others where they are force to worship and pray before Hindus god and goddess . A certain people told me even Tribes Certificate was ignored to issue if someone write Christianity as their religion. Christians are undermined and deny admission unless they write Hindu or Donyi Polo in such established schools. The Indian constitution Right to religious freedom and Right to Education has been violated. We must make it sure that we let Freedom to grow in our community. India is function by the people, from the people and for the people.

Suppose I am a Galo, if I believe and follow Hinduism; amnt I still a Galo? Definitely, whether you follow Hinduism , Islam, Buddhism or Christian, you are as you are! Do not look down nor harms other due to religions. Believing a Christianity is not loss of identity rather it will sharpen identity.

1. Religion:
In my opinion, everyone has a right and freedom to choose in their life. "Stone and Banyantree, you're my god", if your dad believes so; yes that is his god. If your mother said " Sun and Moon, you're my god", yes that is her god. You are not suppose to humiliate them, after all he and she is still your parent. Religion is a thing which we should never ever be attached with culture. Religion is belief and Culture is our Identity"

2. Culture.
Eventhough we say culture or tradition, some modification may require according to the changing world. For example: In the olden days, our forefathers wore only a piece of cloths to hide their genital, will you say that is our culture and tradition and start wearing in your office in the same way, will you do that? Women usually not wearing a single piece of cloth to cover their upper portion. Will you say it is our culture and tradition and let your sister intend to follow? Will not it be a shame eventhough it was our culture?

3. Cultural modification:
To live more peacefully, a better living and to unite all our brothers and sisters who could not mingling together in society; cultural modification is the need of hour in the present context of Arunachal Pradesh. Cultural heritage to be preserved but it should has no link with religious. Cultural is a form or type of civilization of a certain people or nation. Therefore, earlier civilization and modern civilization has vast different, that has to be aware of it.

If you are belongs to a particular tribe or nation, whether you are Christian or Donyi- Polo, Sikh or Buddhist; you cant loss your culture because that is your identity. Especially traditional items, dress, dances should be preserved.

4. Why Christian didnt participate in either Mopin nor Solung?
It may be too early to blame them without addressing the issue. Mostly Christian cant or will not participate because

a).Mopin is religious belief and not related with culture.
b)- People sacrifice to Mopin through Pinku-Pinte whearas Christian can sacrifice to God through Jesus. Christian has nothing to fear nor worship Mopin which the Christian term Satan.

c)- Apong cant be partake by Christian as their God objected to drink so. Instead Pepsi or cold drinks for Christian.
d)- Solung or Mopin mostly celebrated in Mopin Dere where Christian should not go due to religious belief. They can accompany or may participate in General or Community Hall, not Mopin Dere but Dere.

Especially Mopin is religious belief of Donyi-Poloism and Christian shouldnot be blame nor force to celebrate or drink during the festive events or the other. Cultural programmes and traditional display can also be participant by Christian. Eventhough they are Christian , they are still Galo or Adi or so. Religious song that include Mopin, Pinku Pinte, setan, Jesus, Mohamed, Buddha, Donyi- Polo, Christian should be excluded due to the sentiment of belief. There must be a society beyond religion who cares for all the community. Thus, everyone will worship whosoever they believe, but everyone will participate and preserve the culture. Then the cheorographers will lament ,

" Eventhough we have many gods, We are ONE.
We are many clans and diverse language, but we are one Tribe. We came from öne father Abotani, We are brothers and Sisters. Let us live together peacefully. "

"My mom wishes me to be a missionary, I wish to be a Pastor but God made me a Teacher"~ Liankhankhup Sektak

Choosing career is one of the main an important issue in every human being life. The future is rely on what decision you have made today decision that will determine who you will be tomorrow not who you are today. Therefore, you are like a traveller who stands in the two diverse road. At this juncture, care should be taken before you choose a career base on the gift and the professional you have or talented to do so.

Many school inspector and teachers often ask to the students their hobby, aim in life or what they wish to become so in the near future. "AIMS AND GOAL ARE NOT A FUTILE HOPE BUT A FUTURE HOPE" ~said Liankhankhup Sektak on his blog http://khuppaite.blogspot.com . Many parents chose their child career without consulting their children or without proper guidance to achieved their goal. Some fails on the beginning, another on the midst and a handful men achieved their parents dream. In my opinion, parent has no mistake by choosing a career but it is vulnerable to choose your child career without KNOWING YOUR CHILD. God has given all the children with innate ability that parent has to recognize it or find out it and choose a career base on it. I think, now you will be a successful father and reap the fruits of your dreams in reality.

See my life, "MY MOM WISHES ME TO BE A MISSIONARY, I WISH TO BE A PASTOR BUT GOD MADE ME A TEACHER" , its happen in my life. Eventhough we have set goals and plan but I believe that God had made our destination aftert all. I was in an opinion that being trained in Theology, equipt with Gift of preaching may be a Missionary or Pastor but it was not so. I may not be wrong to say "GOD CHOSE ME TO BE A MINISTER FOR HIM BUT ELDERS DO NOT RECOGNISE ME" . I do admit that my thought is not God thoughts. He works in his way and I cant see but he may made an opportunity to serve for him in his own time.

Young generation must be aware of choosing career and must take advice even from adversary. Choose the correct path and care yourself and train yourself to be fit and effective for the career which you are choosing for. "WE MUST CHOOSE A CAREER BUT CAREER SHOULD NOT CHOOSE YOU".

My father my great Hero

~~ By
Liankhankhup Sektak

My father was such a great hunter and nobody could compete in Agriculture sectors.

Q. Where did Pu. Tualzagin Sektak buried, Tonglon or Lamka?

Ans: Pu Tualzagin Sektak f/o Mr. Gouneihlal Sektak graveyard at New Lamka Cemetary, Dorcas Road is placed between the graveyard of Pu. Thongchinthang and Donzangai.

Babi Lollen
Recommended by Mrs. Mebbi Lollen on
March 30, 2014 [yet to declare officially]

Some people may wonder such a long and unusual name like Babi Lollen Chingnunhoih Sektak as it might be new for my readers as well me.

Having a well thought about what to give a baby name while she was ninth month in her mother womb, I had consulted my mom Mrs. Nemneihching then Mrs. Mebbi Lollen, in collobration of two ethnic cultures; neither support one nor neglect another; I and my Mrs. Irik decided to name Miss . Babi Lollen Chingnunhoih Sektak as we expect baby girl.

The first word "Babi" comes from the name of her[Babi] Kakam [grandmother from galo] Mebbi or Yabi that means "eldest" , according to her mother. I had married my wife from Galo Tribe of West Siang belongs to Lollen clan. Therefore, the word ,"Lollen" comes after Babi [as Babi Lollen].
Many peoples may question me why her mother's clan and style of name comes in her [Babi] name, no wonder we are living in 21st century and this is not 17th Ce. I neither disregard my culture or tradition nor my wife's tradition.I maintain status quo and invent and show new ways of naming baby for those who married other than our community[mixed marriage] . I dont motivate other to do so if it is appear to be Taboo in your community. My mother-in-law told to us on 30th March that she name Babi after her name or same meaning with her name. She says, " I will consider Babi as my re-birth", we acclaimed.

The word "Chingnunhoih" come from her[C.N Hoih] grandmother[ from Tonglon] Mrs. Nemneihching which her first name syllable starts from her grandma last name "Ching" that means "qualify or success". Ching means "success", Nun means " life" and Hoih means "good". Therefore,Chingnunhoih means " Success good life" as a wish from her grandmother Mrs. Nemneihching.

Babi Lollen Chingnunhoih Sektak name comes from two traditional ethnic GALO Tribe of Arunachal Pradesh and PAITE Tribe of Southern Manipur.

Babi Lollen is according to the name structure of Galo as her parent once lived in West Siang when
she was come into existence given by her grandmother who is a mother of her mother.

Chingnunhoih name derived from the last syllable of Nemneihching, a paite traditional name in Lamka region of Manipur? She is a lucky daughter, lovely and will accomplish her parent dreams.

My mom told me their early life including her marriage life in my father's family, brothers and sisters role in the family. My father was such a poor man who had not stored enough quantity of food as they were joint family. Almost 50 years or more, he managed my family under stricken societies, relatives , family and friends. Even after 50 years, similar situation has been encounter by us even after 70/80 years of christianity in southern Manipur. I still remember while we had survived with yam, maize, Atta and watery food.

I was having a dream to have home in Lamka, buildings and car in its. I have been doing my level best by working in private sectors here and there to achieve my dreams; but it seems may not accomplish in my lifetime. But I would never give-up and still study by myself, has been working in private sectors since 2010 , perhaps it might be early 2007 just after earning my degree in Kochi, Southern part of India.

I have a great expectation in my future generation that they will accomplish her/his father's dream.d Then they might realised "YESTERDAY DREAM, TODAY OR TOMORROW IT MAY ACCOMPLISHED".

Heavenly Mother or God the Mother from New Jerusalem in South Korea

“As the seas receives all dusts and purifies it, we should have a broad and beautiful mind enough to cover up even the faults of our brothers and sisters”

Everyone knew the importance of Mother in our life but only few understand how precious our mother is! When God created a first family in this earth, He created Adam, Eve and son and daughters. God Jehovah commanded to Moses to build sanctuary. The earthly Sanctuary is a shadow and copy of what is in Heaven. Through the earthly family system; God want to show Heavenly family system. There are two kinds of Family System:

1. EARTHLY FAMILY:

As you know Father, Mother , son and daughters were basically known as family.

2. HEAVENLY FAMILY:

When we go to Heaven, there we will see our Father, Mother , brothers and sisters!

We believe, as the Bible tells us so!

When the Bible speaks, we also speak. When the Bible stops, we also stop. Let us see the written word of God, and we will find the Existence of Father, Mother and Children’s in the Bible.

(a).We will have Father in Heaven:

Jesus said,” Our Father in Heaven” (Matt 6:9ff), this text shows that Father is in Heaven.

(b): We will have Mother in Heaven:

The Jerusalem, that is above” she is our Mother . We will have Mother in Heaven. (Gal 4:26ff).

(c).We will have brothers and sisters in Heaven:

The spirit himself testifies that we are the Children of God. (Rom 8:16-17).Therefore,

Whoever does the will of God are our brothers and sisters. (Matt 12:46-50).

Without much explanation, the existence of Mother and how the Bible testifies about Heavenly Mother briefly to be discuss.

I. The two Images of God:

In the account of Genesis, God said;” Let us make” and “our images” this is a plural term, and therefore He have two images,” Male and Female Images”. Therefore God created “Eve” as Adam helper. Adam term eve as,” Mother of all Living”.(Gen2:18-23).

II.Abraham family Spiritual Meaning!

When Abram does not have any children, he nominated Eleazer, his servant as his heir? But God rejected, because he have no flesh and blood of Abraham. when Hagar gave Ishmael to Abraham, he thought he will be his heir now, because Ishmael is his own Son! Again God rejected, because; there is no flesh and blood of Sarah. Finally, as a promised to Abraham by Jehovah, a flesh and blood of Abraham and Sarah promise son Isaac became the heir of Abraham family. Those who believe the Existence of God the Father will be like Ishmael. Those who believe Heavenly father and Mother will inherit the Kingdom of God.(Gen 21:1-5,Gal 4:8-31)

III. Heavenly Wedding Banquet:

2000 years ago, when Jesus spoke about Heavenly things; He used parables. For the Jews they knew Him and his father and Mother , no one believe him as Messiah!

Like wise, the 2nd coming Jesus and Heavenly mother some people cannot accept, because like Jesus they knew their parents and him.Mtt22:1-14 here King represent God, lamb represents second coming Christ. What about the bride?

Rev 21:9-10, 19:7 here John said, the wedding of the Lamb has come! Here Lamb represents Christ Anhsahnghong and bride represents Heavenly Mother , because when John spoke this revelation Jesus was ascended. Bride is the wife of the lamb, and bride and lamb is spirit. (Rev21:9-10), 22:17, Isai 62:6-7, Gen2:21-23.Apostle said about the second coming Christ, “the one who to comes Adam”. Rom 5:14.

According to prophecy, Christ Anhsahnghong established Heavenly Mother in 1984, at a wedding hall in Seoul, Red and white candle was light as a Korean tradition of marriage. The second coming Christ testifies about Heavenly Mother . She is a reality Passover. Through her we will get eternal life.

Chingnunhoih Sektak will born!

Many years ago I was dreaming one day I would get marry and become a father of my child/children.

To be a father is not an easy task as I dont want to approach blindly. I have to get ready intellectually, sciencetifically to take all safety and precautions, financially and all the ways I am suppose to get ready.

I met my Mrs. Irik Lollen in her college Grace Bible College, Lamka sometimes 2010 during her final year and the latter of that year I chosed her as to be a mother of children.

Many people are doubting us that whether I or my wife a barren as many years we took safety measurement to prevent pregnancy that maketh other people thoughts fly high in the sky.

On March 21, 2014, doctor's confirmed us that either 20th April or 29 of the same mönth respectively for a new born baby.

As per the guidelines suggested from the book ' ANSWERS FOR YOUR MARRIAGE', I predict that the new born baby would be a beautiful baby . I had made a phone calls to my mother Mrs. Nemneihching and informed her our expected for delivery. I also informed her if a new born baby to be a beautiful one, she also need to suggest a name and she suggested ' CHINGNUNHOIH' that means '
CHING= Qualify
NUN= Life
HOIH= Good/beautiful
to be a baby name, yet to be declare officially after birth. The above suggested name is only surename and calling name is to be suggested by my mother-in-law Mrs. Mebbi Lollen according to Galo custom either start from the last syllable of my name or her name respectively.

"Behold, a women from Tadin of West Siang will give birth a beautiful child and they shall call her -- Chingnunhoih Sektak. She will accomplish her parent desire and serve for the Lord whatever profession in her career".( She may not go Theology, Missionary or Pastor, but she'll serve the Lord and for the people)

(Till writing of this article, she is unborn child ninth month in her mother womb).

Third World War is at hand!

Whether or not, the world is facing regional war, the war within, communalism, dictatorship and communist ideology which is against democracy on the rise and democracy is the need of hour.

I didnt gone through the history of First World War-I , but the second World War was broken out after the Nazi and Soviet Union violation of International law towards Poland? Soon the U.K intervened their coward policies and the second World War was on journey. It was soviet union who was responsible to stop the horror war that claims billions of lives.

Sèe today how the world is preparing for the Nuclear War ahead, North Korea develops weapons of mass destruction in an aim to turn ashes toward South Korea, its own family. Tehran develops Nuclear to target Israel and its major alliance country particularly America. See the chinese and Japanese disputed Island Senkaku in Japan and Dioyayu in China; both are same place. Japanese are not accepting the newly declared Air Defence Identification Zone by China. There has been war of words, historical war, south pacific tension has been triple increase day to day basis. See Syria, the war within and how the dictator Assad was supported by Russia by supplying ballastic Missile to the regim that alter International communities to send strong signal to the Assad's regim. Only God knows how the cold war between America and Russia is going on in Syria, and the rest of the world.

Obama's presidential campained logo 'Stand for Change' now really is changing the world in a democratic way that under goes in many countries. Peoples raise their voices and demand ' peace, justice and freedom' , democracy that American and democratic countries and UNO committed to its policies toward freedom.

In a recent crisis in Ukraine, Russia showing of its military streng to Ukrainian by controlling its Government building by raising their national flag upon it. The newly form Government send strong signal to Russia to restraint its military display to Ukranian and indirectly to European Unions and America.

Western power and United Nations will continue to battle for Ukranian politically, financially, military and all diplomatically. Whearas the ousted president said in an International News conference in Russia near Ukrain on yesterday that Putin will fight for his country. Ukrainian government seeks United Nation Security Council to monitor the situation especially Russia majority Crimea. Russia urge Nato not to interfere the situation.

International communities are closely watching what's going on in Ukraine. Sooner or later , European Unions, NATO, Western power and it allies and UN security council to intervene and end the nightmare in Ukraine. If Russia fails to withdraw its troops from Ukraine after the deadline and still display its military strength, let us see what happen next....?

Has justice been delivered to racial victims of North-East?

Certainly not at all, therefore we call "ignorance" and they call Indian law makers' to deliver justice if law can be enforce to people of North-East.

Many domestic workers and students lamented that they are being "humiliated publicly, thrash and molested"! This is not an essay nor hate speech, rather it is a real life incidents of North-Eastern people who reside in the capital of India ,Delhi.

There is no fear of law as it seems some people and even the guardian[police] of law took law into their hands. Ask to Social activist and Guardian of North-East, how many crime cases has been misinterpreted by Police? Nido Tania's death clearly pictured that there is a possibility involvement of Cops in the CRIME scene or misguided, influenced or discriminated by goons.

Inhabitants of Jammu & Kashmir and North-East are being mistreated as Terrorist, robbers, prostitute in Delhi that makes vulnerable lead them to Capital Punishment, raped and humiliated. Who sow the sèeds of Communalism in especially in the Capital? Has media been threaten or misguided by Delhites not to expose such misdeeds and crime in Delhi?

Peoples of North- East future has been dark as they are neglected and avoided by developments, social justice, religious freedom, security and politically.

From Mizoram to Guzarat, Kashmir to Kanyakumari; whether white or black "We are Indian". Delhi must accept and recognised that "India is a land of diversities, multi-cultures and multi-religions". We are one nation but you cant content " One Nation, One language, one religion " which is against the fundamental rights of the Constitution of India.

Believe it or not, restricting Bamboo shoot, permented fish the most favourite dishes of people from North-East led to controversial between their landlords and tenants, that might be the origin of Crime happen to them. Secondly, as they [NE] were dressing modern or latest fashion that disclosed almost clothing part, they appeared to people of Delhi as goddess of sex that led them to insult, rape or got killed! If brothers role in protective role, they are threatens, attacks and even loss to their life. No political parties raises their concern openly nor debate publicly how to end violence to people of North-East? It shows that still they are paving away untill a strong United Nation Human Rights intervention in India which New Delhi fails to provide safety for its own citizens of North-Eastern part of India.
