The Gauhati High Court ordered a probe into the alleged disproportionate assets of former Mizoram Chief Minister Zoramthanga following a PIL submitted by Prism.  'The court asked the state Anti-Corruption Bureau to complete its probe within four months from the date of issuance of the order. Pu Vanlalruata (PRISM president) alleged that during his tenure as the agriculture minister, Zoramthanga had bought the infamous Aii Puk farm worth Rs 10 lakhs. The Chief Minister claimed that the property was worth Rs 2 lakh, it was learnt. Moreover, farming materials worth Rs 37 lakhs were diverted from the Agriculture and Minor Irrigation's district agriculture office in Aizawl West to the Aii Puk Zau Cooperative Farming Society owned by Zoramthanga, the Prism alleged. Based on Mizoram Salaries and Allowances of Ministers Act 1999, Zoramthanga's total remuneration added upto Rs 25,500 per month but the assets declared before filing the nomination for 2003 Assembly poll was over Rs 47,72,378, the Prism pointed out.
