Dear Members and Viewers,

Views of TRNN videos are up 20% this month. Viewers say we provide news and analysis that not only provides a deep and timely understanding of the world, but helps in changing it as well. You have told us what we do is unique and that we must keep at it. We are determined to do so.

Our fourteen full-time staff and numerous freelancers around the world produce, on average, three original stories, six days a week. Producing The Real News costs around $70,000 a month.

We want to do more. Much more. We can't do this without you. Will you help us reach our matching grant goal now?

Our new Baltimore Town Hall Studio, where we will live stream and broadcast vigorous debates, will be ready in November.

We are creating the Center for Investigative and Multimedia Journalism which will be a collaboration between investigative journalists, academics, scientists, public policy experts, frontline workers and informed activists. The CIMJ will be charged with answering the question: what would you do if you ran a major North American city in the interests of ordinary people?

We will tell you more about this work in the coming weeks. I've attached an architect's rendering of The Real News Media Center and Town Hall space so you can see what it will look like.  Come visit us in Baltimore, and we will give you a tour of our new building and discuss our plans in more detail.

For now, a simple message: if you appreciate The Real News, would like to see us strengthen and expand our work, then we need your financial, intellectual and distribution support.

We have received a 50k matching grant and have until May 2 to reach our target. Please act now!

Please join us in Making Real News.

Best wishes,

Paul Jay and the TRNN team
