~by Liankhankhup Sektak
A repursive response during depress ' No room for you' I feel it is a terror and the horror which I have nothing to do it.
As I have stated in previous article , " April month and its important for me" , April month has been one of the saddest and happiest month as many events happened on this month as far as my family concern.
Fifteenth of April two thousand fourteenth, I , My Mrs and two of our Kins went to Pasighat for delivery and hoped to accomodate in either two of her relatives. We were refused to accomodate whearas spacious if they wish to do so. " Room is too small to accomodate you" answered the relatives. I was like a thunder strucked and no immediate words to say next to who resided nearby hospital. Then we moved next to relatives home which is 4/5 kms distance away from hospital. There the same responsed we got and we were stunned and how to move next. We share our desired to a relative to admit without emergency, she said that it would not be possible but we had no option but persuade doctor to admit us. She tried it twice and thrice but seem to be impossible. I told my Mrs. to dress in most smart as she could and I with my only Coat. It was holiday said by our relative as Hanuman Jayanti, we told them as we will have an evening walk. I had greeted casualty doctor politely and narrated our condition than the nurse admitted us and a bit relieve for a night if not we would have slept in the street.
Ön the next day the Ultra-sound doctor told an estimate time May 17 morethan one months beyond our expectation. The doctor told to the nurse they can be discharge but Nurse pity us and not informed to us which I came to know on the next day after I informed them a rest is needed .
We informed the church members and friends the news and they were temporarily arranged a rent in Yebgo at Pasighat near ABU Central Church . The home is belongs to Mr. Tapir Dai and Mrs. Yagup Dai who is UDC in Education Department. A final year B.A and Nurse Miss. Okiam Taki , who resided there inn consent to use all her belonging freely including a rent free. We thank her generouse and kind understanding to us. A relative of us said house small as exam going on but a non relative stayed in others home to accomodate us. This is really God's help that comes in time of real need.

A tribute to my Father
Death Anniversary
~~ By
Liankhankhup Sektak
I had not realized " how happy and nice to live with my FATHER" untill 15th April 2012 when my father abode for his heavenly home. I didnt see face to face with him since 2004 till his last journeyed as I left my families for further studies in South India. I admit my father's fade as " lack of proper treatment" as I and my brothers were incapable to provide all financial expenses during
his treatment that led him gone home forever. Ask whether all the six sons and one daughter were contribute and tried to save him while he was on Incencive care? I and my Mrs. could contribute halves of Ten Thousand which served almost no purpose as the required expenses were too high! He was in comma morethan two months and his sicknesses MUTE and prevent him from any conversation. Mystery behind how sudden sickness attacked him that led untimely death?.
Some witnesses told me "the Gap" between rich and poor during our adversary. In my opinion, I must thank to those who spent their selfless service to us as a whole .
My father was such a great hunter and nobody could compete in Agriculture and hunting sectors. His greatest personality was "Silent" in nature. I dont forget the life of my father's family at Sinzang Village and Tonglon. He support my education probabely begging food from neighbour villages. He fed us with wild Yam, Topiaka, Maize , Atta and " Maite Chìm" so now I am in position to study Master of Arts (M.A) as of 2014. Thankyou daddy and Mummy, it is because of (yours') dad hardwork and mom prayers.
Everyone knows that everyday is not Sunday as I. Rich may godown and poor may come-up. I believe, A silent observer Jesus is still alive today.
I will not give-up and I'l persue my parents' dream and my sons and daughters will accomplish my dream.
I have a living Jesus in me. He'll make away for me and my family not to be always amuse or down trodden by them.
Q. Where did Pu. Tualzagin Sektak buried, Tonglon or Lamka?
Ans: Pu Tualzagin Sektak f/o Mr. Gouneihlal Sektak graveyard at New Lamka Cemetary, Dorcas Road is placed between the graveyard of Pu. Thongchinthang and Donzangai.

Childhood Memoirs | by Liankhankhup Sektak
Much of the memorable events of my childhood were absent as their were no inscription. But I could tell the major events today that happened in governing my family before I was formed from womb which my mother told me when I was nine or Ten. My mom, who narrated those events and incidents still alive as of writing this article but my father was no more...
My parent were once lived in Sinzang Village next to Pamzal near Kaihlam. Most of my brothers and Sister were borne here and lived below poverty line. As my parent were struggled with daily bread, no son nor daughter were given education. Most probabely, education was not valued nor esteemed by the people as a whole. My father was a load carrier on demand as he could carried morethan his weight. My families were survived there by Maize, pumkin, yam, sweet potatoes and sometime rice and Maize flour.
One fine day, there were no stocked of food in my family. All my brothers were still young, my mother was waiting my father who went to the forest in hope to get wild YAM. He didnt returned even in the early hours of evening. My mom was in tense and helpless as all my brothers and sister were cried in Hungry. My mom was helpless and couldnt see the hungry children and went outside the village wait for my father to come back from the forest. A man carrying many things was approaching her and she thought that he was my dad and scolded him while distance, " Children were crying in hungry, why didnt you returned early". Unfortunately, that man was not my father and both of them laugh at each other.
Around 1970s at the same village, one of my brother Mr. Paubawi was severely sick and as a child he couldnt eat wild Yam. My mom went to the neighbours and relatives in search of rice, nobody were willing to share rice to my pity mam who worn savy dress with flying hair. With painful tears, she bade farewel to her lovely son Late Mr. Paubawi as he died of hunger.
In 1980s, in search of better living, my families were migrated to Tonglon, 30 kms far from Lamka. Chief of Tonglon Pu. Pumzakham, brother of Pu. Gouchinkhup was such a good man who had guide, care and helped my family atleast to live in a normal living. Some of my brothers were grown-up here to assist them that my mam described as a bit "RELAX". Even in Tonglon, the entire village were starved and famine hit the entire community as government isolated them.
My grandfather Late Mr. Zamgou and his wife Late Mrs. Songkhoniang had passed away before I could recognized their images. On July 27, 1983, God allowed me see the light of this world then my brother Max.
" You were such a handsome baby but now you had lost your childhood handsome", said my mother after completion of my degree. I did enjoy my early childhood and went to school without pen (khekol) with no shoe. My leg was as black as coal, remarked my early School Teacher Late Mr. Kamkhanthang Tonsing, Mr. Shingkhum and Mrs. Niangkhanngai.
A photo of me and my brother max said to be photographed in 1989 was the only photo which I could preserve till today. A word said by me to my mam before she went to field , "NU, NALOU KUANCHIANG IN, THENGTHE HONPUAK AW" and she brought many for me. "Word cant describe how happy I was", as my heart content with a cheap demand. I cooked food, mopped home, carrying water, collecting firewood and traditional grinding rice were my basic daily routine. I was interest and talented in study as far as I knew. But, I was a boy who didnt believe whether right or wrong instructed by other than my Teachers". When I studied fourth Standard at J.B School, Tonglon, I carried my eldest brother daughter Chinglunkim in the classroom. The teacher told me to sit and write my lessons but she prevent me from sitting. The teacher punished me for bringing baby in the classroom and she afraid his shouting and cried. Having refused permission to go out as the child being cried , I had no option and cried with my daughter.
It was shame in front of other without wearing any pen in the school and I had requested my brothers to get pen for school. He answered, " I did not wear any shirt nor pen after crossing ten years", . If I am a good artist, I would have drawn my childhood photo and have a good laugh today".
I was taught Bible stories by my parent, prayers, sent to Sunday School, sent to attend Children Conference which we describe in own vernacular "Tonglon Täng Naupang Khawmpi", Crusade all those laid my future foundation.
I didnt remember the exact date and time but there was a weeklong crusade in my school especially for Children. My friends were cried out as the Evangelist Mr. Thawnkhansuan cheered us to cried before the Lord and Confess Sins. I did confess my sins before the Lord but there was no tears for me while being pretended to be cry. I applied saliva in my eyes as he was closely looking at us whether we were crying or praying. In the night, the Pastor Late Mr. Thualkhothang gave us baptism and declared we were born again". Later my mind was disturbed with "what really born again is?" . On october 30, 1999, Mrs. Hauniang FMPB detailed out all the works and love of Jesus to us and there I personally recieving Jesus my Lord and Savior.
Word cant describe how a pleasant moment the early childhood was, sometimes I wish if I could recall those memories. But it will never come again in my life. Today I learnt from the Lord how to be happy as I am.

Cultures and Religions in context with Arunachal Pradesh
~By Liankhankhup Sektak
People of Arunachal Pradesh has been blindly once influenced with Hindu Culture, religion, dress, language and all Hindus' festival. Eventhough Christianity exist in the beginning of 19 CE, there was slow in progress untill 21st CE. First Hinduism was cultivated and now basically Christianity.
I have seen people of Arunachal Pradesh are in dilema at this juncture, whether to follow Hinduism or Christianism. Society has been in agony and devided due to religion. In fact, neither Hinduism nor Christianism was their religion, but Donyi- Poloism.
There has been a war of religion that the christian has to bear it a momentum. Everyone knew Freedom of Religion Act which was passed and adopted in 1987 was particularly targeting christianism in Arunachal Pradesh. Since then thousands of Hindus Mission and missionaries has been working within Arunachal Pradesh. Many schools like R.K Mission School, Kendria Vidhyala, K.G. Girls School and many others where they are force to worship and pray before Hindus god and goddess . A certain people told me even Tribes Certificate was ignored to issue if someone write Christianity as their religion. Christians are undermined and deny admission unless they write Hindu or Donyi Polo in such established schools. The Indian constitution Right to religious freedom and Right to Education has been violated. We must make it sure that we let Freedom to grow in our community. India is function by the people, from the people and for the people.
Suppose I am a Galo, if I believe and follow Hinduism; amnt I still a Galo? Definitely, whether you follow Hinduism , Islam, Buddhism or Christian, you are as you are! Do not look down nor harms other due to religions. Believing a Christianity is not loss of identity rather it will sharpen identity.
1. Religion:
In my opinion, everyone has a right and freedom to choose in their life. "Stone and Banyantree, you're my god", if your dad believes so; yes that is his god. If your mother said " Sun and Moon, you're my god", yes that is her god. You are not suppose to humiliate them, after all he and she is still your parent. Religion is a thing which we should never ever be attached with culture. Religion is belief and Culture is our Identity"
2. Culture.
Eventhough we say culture or tradition, some modification may require according to the changing world. For example: In the olden days, our forefathers wore only a piece of cloths to hide their genital, will you say that is our culture and tradition and start wearing in your office in the same way, will you do that? Women usually not wearing a single piece of cloth to cover their upper portion. Will you say it is our culture and tradition and let your sister intend to follow? Will not it be a shame eventhough it was our culture?
3. Cultural modification:
To live more peacefully, a better living and to unite all our brothers and sisters who could not mingling together in society; cultural modification is the need of hour in the present context of Arunachal Pradesh. Cultural heritage to be preserved but it should has no link with religious. Cultural is a form or type of civilization of a certain people or nation. Therefore, earlier civilization and modern civilization has vast different, that has to be aware of it.
If you are belongs to a particular tribe or nation, whether you are Christian or Donyi- Polo, Sikh or Buddhist; you cant loss your culture because that is your identity. Especially traditional items, dress, dances should be preserved.
4. Why Christian didnt participate in either Mopin nor Solung?
It may be too early to blame them without addressing the issue. Mostly Christian cant or will not participate because
a).Mopin is religious belief and not related with culture.
b)- People sacrifice to Mopin through Pinku-Pinte whearas Christian can sacrifice to God through Jesus. Christian has nothing to fear nor worship Mopin which the Christian term Satan.
c)- Apong cant be partake by Christian as their God objected to drink so. Instead Pepsi or cold drinks for Christian.
d)- Solung or Mopin mostly celebrated in Mopin Dere where Christian should not go due to religious belief. They can accompany or may participate in General or Community Hall, not Mopin Dere but Dere.
Especially Mopin is religious belief of Donyi-Poloism and Christian shouldnot be blame nor force to celebrate or drink during the festive events or the other. Cultural programmes and traditional display can also be participant by Christian. Eventhough they are Christian , they are still Galo or Adi or so. Religious song that include Mopin, Pinku Pinte, setan, Jesus, Mohamed, Buddha, Donyi- Polo, Christian should be excluded due to the sentiment of belief. There must be a society beyond religion who cares for all the community. Thus, everyone will worship whosoever they believe, but everyone will participate and preserve the culture. Then the cheorographers will lament ,
" Eventhough we have many gods, We are ONE.
We are many clans and diverse language, but we are one Tribe. We came from öne father Abotani, We are brothers and Sisters. Let us live together peacefully. "

"My mom wishes me to be a missionary, I wish to be a Pastor but God made me a Teacher"~ Liankhankhup Sektak
Choosing career is one of the main an important issue in every human being life. The future is rely on what decision you have made today decision that will determine who you will be tomorrow not who you are today. Therefore, you are like a traveller who stands in the two diverse road. At this juncture, care should be taken before you choose a career base on the gift and the professional you have or talented to do so.
Many school inspector and teachers often ask to the students their hobby, aim in life or what they wish to become so in the near future. "AIMS AND GOAL ARE NOT A FUTILE HOPE BUT A FUTURE HOPE" ~said Liankhankhup Sektak on his blog http://khuppaite.blogspot.com . Many parents chose their child career without consulting their children or without proper guidance to achieved their goal. Some fails on the beginning, another on the midst and a handful men achieved their parents dream. In my opinion, parent has no mistake by choosing a career but it is vulnerable to choose your child career without KNOWING YOUR CHILD. God has given all the children with innate ability that parent has to recognize it or find out it and choose a career base on it. I think, now you will be a successful father and reap the fruits of your dreams in reality.
See my life, "MY MOM WISHES ME TO BE A MISSIONARY, I WISH TO BE A PASTOR BUT GOD MADE ME A TEACHER" , its happen in my life. Eventhough we have set goals and plan but I believe that God had made our destination aftert all. I was in an opinion that being trained in Theology, equipt with Gift of preaching may be a Missionary or Pastor but it was not so. I may not be wrong to say "GOD CHOSE ME TO BE A MINISTER FOR HIM BUT ELDERS DO NOT RECOGNISE ME" . I do admit that my thought is not God thoughts. He works in his way and I cant see but he may made an opportunity to serve for him in his own time.
Young generation must be aware of choosing career and must take advice even from adversary. Choose the correct path and care yourself and train yourself to be fit and effective for the career which you are choosing for. "WE MUST CHOOSE A CAREER BUT CAREER SHOULD NOT CHOOSE YOU".
Jesu tungnung pen Tapa chih tangkou
"huan, aw ngaihtaka kikouin, Jesu, Pathian Tungnungpen Tapa, kei leh nang bang ahia i kizolhna om? Hon gimsak lou dingin Pathian minin nget chih takin ka honngen hi, a chi a. Jesun, a kiang ah, Nang, dawi ninpa, huai mi sunga kipanin pawt in, a nachita ngala." (Marka 5:7-8).
