Valentine Day in India

Valentine day is commonly observed on February 14 each year. It is celebrated in many countries around the world, although it remains a working day in most of them.

Valentine (name of person) of Rome was a priest in Rome who was martyred about February 14 A.D 269 and was buried on the via Flamina. Although, early christians were called Valentine but february fourteen celebration is a valentine of Rome.

Claudius =2 declared," married man don't serve good soldier", therefore he objected the soldiers to get marry. Saint Valentine was imprison as he was performing weddings for the soldiers of Roman. Saint Valentine was imprisoned as he was violates the king decree by performing forbidden weddings for the soldiers.

While he was in jailed, his jailer Austeries had a blind daughter who was healed by Valentine through Jesus. The 44 family members of Austeries became Christian through the miraculaous healed of Julia. Legends state that before his excution, he wrote a letter for Julia and was written ," from your Valentine" as a farewel to her. Thus, Valentine day has been observed every year inordered to commemorate the Valentines (martyred early christians) by exchanging gifts, boutiquet, cards and confectionaries, etc.

The day first associated with Romantic loves the then friendly, brotherly and Agape Loves. It has been largely celebrated across India since some years ago. It is at good festival which we can celebrate with the rest of the world or with families and the dear one.
