Excessive Sweating? Most Common Causes of Sweating and Steps to Tackle It

Why do people sweat? Let me tell you, sweating is
a natural phenomena as everyone has sweat glands which secrete the salty liquid. Out body is kept cool due to sweating. As a matter of fact, the number of sweat glands seem to be an important deciding factor on the intensity of sweat, while each person has more than a million. It's a common assumption that men sweat more as they are often seen to be seating profusely. In reality it's vice-versa – women have more sweat glands yet man's glands are more active.

Do you know when we sweat? Sweating increases when we are hot, or excited, nervous and anxious. Though sweating is a natural phenomena,
sometimes it needs attention. You might need to visit doctor right away, if you
experience excessive sweating along with weight loss, fever, shortness of breath etc.

Excessive sweating could also point to underlying medical problems like hyperthyroidism or just menopause. However, if you are experiencing excessive
sweating, consuming liquids often is crucial. That's the only way to replenish
the fluids that the body loses while sweating.

Other common reasons could be one of the below. It's not something that
is not changeable. There are several steps that could control excessive sweating.

Causes of Sweating:

- caffeine intake
- alcohol (including withdrawal of)
- anxiety
- infection, fever
- low blood sugar
- overactive thyroids
- menopause

The most common causes of sweating are the ones mentioned above. You might be having Hyperhydrosis if none of the above given reasons suit you. This is
nothing more than over working sweat glands. Consulting a doctor and getting diagnosed is the best thing to do.
